WIETA’s Audit Assurance System and Policy Framework establishes clear social and ethical compliance standards aligned with international guidelines and regulations. Independent third-party audits regularly assess member organisations’ adherence to the WIETA Standard, providing assurance, accountability, transparency and a consistent approach to ethical compliance. WIETA supports members and workers through training and capacity building to strengthen understanding and implementation of the WIETA Standard. Its Labour Desk provides a robust mechanism for investigating complaints and potential transgressions, reinforcing accountability and protecting workers’ rights.
