FOCUS: The Agricultural Research Council (ARC) Infruitec-Nietvoorbij is located in Stellenbosch in the Western Cape. Our mandate is research and development as well as technology transfer on the breeding, cultivation, protection and post-harvest technology of deciduous fruit, grape vines, alternative crops and indigenous herbal teas. The campus maintains excellent partnerships with its relevant industries to ensure a sustainable future for the South African fruit, vine and wine industries. Nietvoorbij, the ARC’s internationally acclaimed research farm, is synonymous with quality research in oenology and viticulture. Traditional and modern winemaking techniques are combined to create our unique wines.
