Cape Winemakers Guild (CWG)

Established in 1982.

FOCUS Guild members’ shared focus is excellence from vineyard to cellar. Membership is by invitation only. The annual Cape Winemakers Guild Auction has been held since 1985 and provides the trade and public alike with the opportunity to buy rare wines produced in small quantities especially for the event. The Cape Winemakers Guild Development Trust was founded in 1999 to provide training for winemakers and cellar assistants and bring about meaningful, sustainable transformation in the South African wine industry.
